Smiling David

Smiling David was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. Soon after his arrival in NY/NJ he began dancing with friends and family as he had done back home.  After a few years he met some people which introduced him to a more structured form of dancing and well the rest is history, with that introduction he became the performer and an instructor that we all know today.

Smiling David with his dance company is the main Latin dance instructor & performer featured at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Sounds of the City Event held yearly for the public as well as in other events held throughout the year.

Smiling David has performed in many different places such as: Lehman Center, NJ Performing Arts Center, Beacon Theater, the Waldorf = Astoria, Manhattan Center, Inside and outside of the US

He has performed alongside artists such as: Richy Ray y Bobby Cruz, Alfredo De La Fe, El Gran Combo, Albita, Grupo Niche, Tito Nieves, Jose Alberto "El Canario", Eddy Herrera, Herman Olivera and Sergio Vargas just to name a few.

Smiling David is the Director and Head-Choreographer of Pzazz Dance Company in Newark, NJ.
